Playing games for hours in the desert of Egypt, at sea in France or in the camper in California. We did this as people in their twenties, but also on family travel. Travel Bible tested in cooperation with online sites and on the basis of about 25 years of gaming experience old familiar games, but also the latest variants.
Even before you think about what kind of game you like, get a first tip. Think carefully where you want to play the games. The site does so on the way, at the gate, at a small lake or in the restaurant. We therefore often pack games in separate, lockable plastic bags, instead of the boxes they usually use. Takes up little space, and they are packed so much more often. To download computer games you will need to know the following:
How much space do you have?
Good to think in advance is how much space you have in your luggage and when you want to play the games. Travel Bible flies regularly, also with children. A stick of cards is fine for the airport, but the tiny tins with all kinds of well-known games such as Set and the bluff game Love Letters are ideal. It is tiny, but still very useful. You literally put them in your pocket!
Tip from Travel Bible: “With a game like Earthworms, you also secretly practice math skills with your junior travelers during the holidays. Also handy to take to a restaurant or hike. With a game during a stopover, a draw is fun for everyone. ”
Multiple travel variations of your favorite game
Settlers of Catan are of course a great game for long free evenings. But to take it on a (flight) trip, that is also a bit exaggerated. There are three alternatives: the card game for two people (with, we discovered, a lot of extensions), the small board game for traveling and the dice game. All three have advantages and disadvantages, but the tactical element is everywhere. At airports and in the train, the dice game is our choice.
Little travel proof is handy
HalliGalli is, just like for example Set of Uno, a nice fast game to play. The disadvantage is that the tickets certainly get dirty when traveling. It is also fun to do on the beach, in the train or at the swimming pool. The makers of HalliGalli have therefore thought of a variant that is splash proof and can take a beating!
